About Claudia L. Ignacio
Claudia Lorena Ignacio was born in Mexico City and immigrated to San Diego, California, with her mother and siblings in 1993. At 17, she faced the devastating loss of her mother, taking on the responsibility of raising her younger siblings while working full-time and at the same time completing her education.

Claudia earned her bachelor’s degree of history from California State University of San Marcos. Although her early family obligations delayed her dream of attending law school, she built a successful career as a paralegal, gaining experience in immigration law, bankruptcy law, family law, and civil litigation. She also became a licensed realtor and operated a small tax preparation business.

After raising her siblings, Claudia pursued her long-held goal of becoming an attorney by attending California Western School of Law, where she discovered her passion for tax law.Today, she is an accomplished and dedicated tax attorney who helps individuals and businesses navigate the complexities of U.S. tax law. She handles complex matters that include compliance, controversy, and planning. She represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), and Employment Development Department (EDD). She helps taxpayers with collection issues such as liens, levies, installment agreements, penalty abatements, injured spouse claims, and offers in compromise.

As a bilingual attorney, Claudia serves both English and Spanish speaking clients and frequently works with taxpayers in Mexico and other countries, particularly those with complex cross-border reporting requirements. She is frequently invited to deliver presentations at conferences and academic institutions in the United States and internationally.
